Batam Beach View Resort is only 10 to 15 minutes bus (mini) ride away. The location seemed rather deserted hence they offer transportation services. The receptionists were very friendly to give us directions and help us book a van to get to their town. The driver was really nice to accommodate to our requests and even sent us back to the resort although the transportation service we got was just one-way. We paid him SGD60 for booking him up to about 4 hours. It was not bad looking out of the rooms from the balcony. I wonder how the night view would look like. Such a pity that we missed it.
By the time we reached the resort, it was already 2pm plus. We were only allocated one of the 3 rooms cos the other 2 were not ready yet. Hence we checked in, changed and headed to the beach. The beach about 7 minutes walk away, is pretty small but quite clean. We borrowed a volleyball and played for a while on the volleyball court with the rough sand. It was rather painful running and walking on the rough sand.
Then, we went to the swimming pool to play ZOVB ball. It is definitely a tiring activity as you try to maintain your balance on the waters in the ball. Basically we just kept falling and trying hard to get back on my feet again but to no avail. Because of ZOVB ball, we suffered on abrasions from the linings in the ball. The price is very cheap because they charge on a per 10-minute basis. So you can actually have different people playing in that 10 minutes. However, the setting up will take quite some time (about 3 minutes) which is not inclusive in the 10 minutes.
Our dinner was at Golden Prawn (a popular kelong seafood restaurant) where we had our million dollar meal. It was a sumptuous meal indeed. We had 800g of fried prawns, a 800g steam fish, 4 crabs, prawn paste chicken, clams, fried calamari, vegetables, hotplate beancurd etc. Our bill totalled to 1.4million rupiah (SGD215). The price was reasonably cheap, considering the quality and quantity of food we ate. We then headed to Nagoya Hill for shopping which we didnt buy anything cos they dont sell anything special. We can easily find everything sold there in Singapore and Malaysia. Oh, they sell J.Co Donuts there too! We bought 2 dozens and it's definitely cheaper than Singapore's by about 15% or more. Yes, 2 dozens indeed. They were for our supper and breakfast. We went for massage at this massage parlour introduced by our driver. The masseurs there are friendly and if you are a male patron, they will definitely somewhat flirt with you, hoping to be tipped. We ladies were not that much entertained, hence we didnt tip our masseurs.
Next morning, we had our complimentary buffet breakfast at their cafe. By the time we went down at around 8am plus, the cafe was already packed with many other tourists, especially Koreans. There were quite a wide variety of food choices and they all generally tasted okay. We returned to our rooms and got ready for the beach activities. Jet-ski and banana boat were what we played. Jet-ski was shiok! It was my second time riding it (first time was during sports camp). We were allowed to go out on our own but of course within the designated area. There is a speed boat that will go out to look out for us. The ultimate shiokness is when it is at full throttle. You can really feel your butt flying off the seat. And of course if you are the pillion, do hold tight to the person in front of you else you will probably fly out into the sea. Banana boat as we all know how thrilling the rides are. We got swung out of the banana float quite a few times and it was really tiring to climb back up onto the float after falling for the third time cos you would probably feel lesser strength in your hands/arms by then from gripping so tight to the handles. Check out the price list of the activities!

We managed to request to retain one of the rooms for washing up since we were given the room a few hours late when checking in. After the beach activities, some of us decided to make good use of the complimentary steam and sauna. And at the same time, we decided to just shower in their spa centre since we were already there. Afterall, we would then be able to shorten the waiting time in the room. Whilst waiting for the time to check-out, we started to camwhore with my new camera, using the fisheye effect. Aint they cute? =D
