We were staying so near the beach but never did we wake up to see sunrise. Okay J did but I think it was too cloudy hence there wasn't much of a view.
That's the best that he got.
Alright, a panoramic view.
Because we were checking out at 8.00am, we woke up, packed up and left our rooms with our bags. Went for the last buffet breakfast on the island and last few photo opportunities by the beach before setting off for the jetty.
There was actually a queue at the jetty to verify our boarding passes. And you probably wouldn't pay attention to the Chinese words "再见" on the sign because they are way too small!
Back at Shah Bandar Jetty. I forgot to mention my observations. It seems like they are going to develop this area. Probably in the next few years, that small waiting area at the jetty would no longer be around and the whole jetty would look more welcoming!
There would be people holding up tags to welcome you and you just have to look for the correct one. We were each given this sticker to identify ourselves amidst the large crowd (if any).
Our first stop was for toilet break and it was pretty clean. This was our lunch stop (2nd). It looks like any random eating house but apparently, tour coaches seem to always stop by here and they are used to the large crowd. These is also a shop next door selling local products.
From top left (clockwise): Wok fried noodles, prawns with eggs, sweet & sour pork, homemade tofu.
If you manage to stay awake during the journey, you would be able to see the beautiful plantation by the roads. We were unlucky in the sense that the bus aircon broke down (when we were not even half way through). On top of that, there was this woman sitting near us who kept complaining that it's very warm, as though asking her husband to do something to it. BUT... there was nothing that can be done! She practically went on and on throughout the whole bus ride. Her husband must have felt embarrassed by her. The driver and crew then did their best to make us feel slightly better by lifting up the ventilator.
Yeah, we stopped in the middle of nowhere for the staff to figure something out. But lifting the ventilator was the best that they could do in that situation. It was impossible to get a new coach to us because we were to far away.
Finally getting off the bus for some fresh air and peace from *her* nagging! The crew trying his best yet again...
We reached Yong Peng and were told that we would be changing bus!!! All of us were feeling stuffy, upset by *the woman* and sticky all over. Finally a sigh of relief!
We completed the journey uneventfully (a word that I don't like but still learned from the Force). The moment we reached back at Singapore's Immigration, you know what happens next! LOL!
If you have noticed, Redang Island is where you can go if you would like a relaxing holiday nearby. There's nothing much to do, not much else to spend money on since accommodation, transport and meals are all provided. Basically, you just go there to eat, snorkel, eat, suntan, massage, eat and sleep. The whole cycle just renews itself, hence don't spend more than 3D2N there else you would be bored. Till the next trip! :)
